Q1 — What affects the control transformer price?
A: Power rating (VA/kVA), primary/secondary voltages, IP/coil insulation class, required certifications and order quantity — all change the price. Small 25 VA units are inexpensive; 50 kVA custom units cost more. Send your specs and we’ll quote.
Q2 — Is the JMB safe for wet/damp workplaces?
A: Yes — when specified with SELV outputs and an appropriate IP rating. SELV isolation helps protect operators, and higher IP enclosures protect the unit from water ingress. IEC Products+1
Q3 — What about temperature rise and long-term use?
A: Typical dry-type transformers have temperature-rise limits defined by industry standards (model and insulation class determine exact figures). We test each unit and provide the temperature-rise data on the datasheet.
